There are many types of grapefruit including white, pink
and ruby red. This citrus is called a grapefruit because
it grows in clusters like grapes. One half of a grapefruit
provides an entire days allowance of Vitamin C. It was introduced
to the United States in the early 19th century in Florida.
Today a majority of all grapefruit is still grown in Florida.
